RELITTO LANISCHEN – PANAREA (ME)

DIVE TYPE: AVERAGE DIFFICULTY MAXIMUM DEPTH: MIN. 10 MT / MAX.42 MT

This wreck is that of an English cargo ship “Lanischen” that hits the rocks located near the island of Panarea. The excellent visibility allows you to enjoy the typical Mediterranean seascape from the beginning of the dive. Lush green meadows of Posidonia oceanica mixed with white rocks welcome us in a clear water that allows us to immediately notice a furrow sandy present on the seabed that corresponds to the trace left by the sinking ship. After a few minutes of diving, the big wreck will appear; the conservation status of the stern and the bow sections is good, while the central part is only a pile of plates. The charm of the view of the big stern propeller lying on a sandy bottom at 40 meter depth, and the encounters with sea life that has colonized the wreck makes this dive one of the most suggestive among the dive spots in Eolian Islands.
